About Drive for Life
In 2012 the founder of the event Allan Young lost a good friend to suicide. After witnessing first hand the devastation the sudden loss of a loved one has on the direct family and wider community, he and a group of motor sport enthusiasts got together to create this event. The objective is to raise funds in an entertaining way, then apply it to educational workshops to help prevent future suicides. The workshops are provided at no charge to communities, sporting clubs & schools. If our collective effort saves just one life it is worthwhile. Your participation will make a positive difference in someone’s life.
