About Drive for Life
In 2012 the founders of the event, brothers Allan & Ian Young lost a good friend to suicide. After witnessing first hand the devastation the sudden loss of a loved one has on the direct family and wider community, they and a group of motor sport enthusiasts got together to create this event. The objective is to raise funds in an entertaining way, then apply it to educational workshops to help prevent future suicides.
The workshops are provided at no charge to communities, sporting clubs & schools. If our collective effort saves just one life it is worthwhile. Your participation will make a positive difference in someone’s life.
Drive for Life is an incorporated non profit organisation run by volunteers. All proceeds other than event costs go directly toward reducing suicides in young adults.

What is the purpose of Drive for Life

How much money goes to work?
Most of the cost in running the event are covered by donations and sponsorship, meaning that more than 80% of all funds raised are chanelled directly into education workshops
Can I be part of the committee?
YES! We need all the help we can get to improve and operate the event. If you would like to join the committee please use our contact form to let us know.
Can I be an official?
Yes you can be an official. If you are new to the role, it is a requirement to be supervised by one of our experienced officials for your first event. Just drop us an email and we’ll get you started.
Do I need a special licence to drive in the event?
No. A current drivers licence and a registered or club permit vehicle in roadworthy condition is all that is required to participate.
